Inspirational Crafts class pictures from Week 1 of introduction to Ranger products

Its been a very rewarding week so far watching pleople overcome their fear of Distressed Inks and Alcohol Inks, I even did a little dance when one lady commented on how she had never liked distressed inks and thought she would never buy them to admit she was wrong and really enjoyed the class ! result convered another. I have been buzzing since my class with Tim Holtz back in February and wanted them to feel that same buzz you get from creating something from scratch, no die cutting, no electronic cutter just some ink, stamps and a peice of card. An amazing feeling to see such great peices they have created so I thought I would share them with you, If you need a list of colours used then please email info@inspirationalcrafts.co.uk for info.

Thursday Drama

well it has been a funny morning here at Inspirationl Crafts the door to the kitchen jammed shut ! kettle inside and with class arriving at 12.30 only 1 hr to get it open! class would never be the same without their cuppa to get them going as today they are using Tim Holtz distressed inks and Alcohol Inks. The door was released with an old pair of sissors and a pokie tool see who needs a man when we have our craft tools to get the job done!! well untill next time bloggers bye for now .

my trip to the dentist

It started back in December 2009 with a tooth infection only for me to end up in hospital (taken by ambulance) having taken pain killers that were not good for me ! A trip to the dentist again showed that the infection had finally gone and they could start root canal treatment 3 sessions into this treatment I got lock jaw (ha ) and it took over 3 weeks for this to unlock, this left me with a temp filling and the roots not filled! then I got a lung infection so could not continue treatment until this was cleared. So now to yesterday Lung infection under control and out at the cinema, the nachos looked good a bite into the first one and pain - my tooth had broken in two. So today at 3.45 after finishing class I went to see the dentist and she has tried to remove the tooth- so the top part comes out leaving the root and severe pain and the wanting to hide in a corner, but to top this off I did not get to play with my inks this afternoon, as just cant focus. so that's the story of my trips to the dentist and how I now can't take the pain killers to take the pain away so will have to suffer lets hope a good nights sleep (lol) will help so I can play again tomorrow with my Inks.. as that is what is more important my crafting time...

Ranger Products take pride of place ...........

Last week before Lindsay Mason came to Inspirational crafts we had to have new toys to play with so placed an order with Personal Impressions to get some new exciting products. I have put some pictures so you can see just how good these products are. We are so excitied about the new Distressed Ink Pads that will be available next week (subject to delivery) I have placed extra order for me as well ! Having got to use them in Birmingham and seeing Tim Holtz using them on the projects he was creating during the show I just had to have them. As we say its not a want its a need, as crafting is an addiction and the only way to help this is to buy more !

Happy crafting ...x

A Thursday at Inspirational Crafts

The day has started early this morning about 4.30am with me waking up thinking of Inks, I know this to some may sound strange but next weeks classes are being introduced to Rangers Distressed Inks and Alcohol Inks. Having attended a course with Tim Holtz, Suze Weinberg and Claudine Hellmuth back in February this year at stitches in Birmingham I was hooked more than I had been before. The general feel is that these techniques are scary to some crafter's in the UK and as a whole we as a business have been in the die cutting route for most of our time just dabbling in these techniques on a small scale , but no more we are jumping in with both feet next week and going to conquer the fears that the classes may have. Pictures to follow next week of the projects we complete in the classes.

Lindsay Mason Visit Saturday 13th March

It had been in the planning for months for Lindsay to visit us at Inspirational Crafts and the day seem to fly by to quick. I picked up Lindsay as she had arrived in Sudbury on Friday evening and took her to the shop, it was not long before the first class arrived for their lesson with Lindsay using Distressed Inks and Martha Stewart Punches this class was enjoyed by all and they all stayed to watch the demo after with UTEE using the melting pot and Memory Frames. My daughter had made coffee cake so Lindsay and I took the opportunity before the next class all arrived to grab lunch. The next class was using Alcohol Inks and stamps and again Martha Stewart Punches, I had the pleasure of joining this group so got to play for a change. I would like to thank Lindsay Mason and Personal Impressions for this amazing day, fun was had by all.
